Antoinette - Reverse Total Shoulder Replacement

After a fall in my garage and a trip to the emergency room, I was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff of the left shoulder and dislocated shoulder. The tear was so severe that, even after surgery to repair it, there would be a 95 per cent possibility that I would still have pain and be unable to fully use my arm.  Based on the above, I went for a second opinion and again the diagnosis was the same.  I was reluctant to have the surgery if it would not correct my problem.  The first doctor that I saw suggested that I see Dr. William Levine at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Columbia Orthopaedic Surgery.  I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Levine and he suggested a reverse total shoulder replacement.  (I  did not know that shoulder replacements could be done - no one ever mentioned it before).  Dr. Levine made me feel so comfortable and sure that I immediately decided to have the surgery.

Thanks to Dr. Levine and NY Presbyterian Hospital, I am again totally self sufficient, pain free and totally able to use my arm.  DR. LEVINE:  YOU ARE MY HERO!  I am constantly telling people I know and meet how "great" Dr. Levine is.
