Fred - Rotator Cuff Repair

I had successful right rotator cuff surgery in 1990 by a well known NY surgeon. Now in 2010 I had been suffering from a torn left rotator cuff for two years and had been advised by two local orthopaedic surgeons where I live in NJ that I needed surgery. I was now 72 years old and feared surgery and the former surgeon I used no longer took any insurance. How awful!!! I did not want to proceed at all. My wife insisted that I did, as she previously had very positive surgery results from two orthopaedic surgeons within the Columbia Orthopaedic Group who graciously accept various insurance plans. I, therefore, set up an appointment with Dr. William N. Levine. I am so pleased that Dr. Levine and I discussed the surgery, and I set up the surgery ASAP. The surgery was absolutely successful, and I am truly thankful and grateful that Dr. Levine was the surgeon that performed the procedure to perfection. I am able to use my left shoulder again with minimal discomfort and know that eventually it will be nearly perfect. I think that anyone who is seeking an orthopaedic doctor should, without a doubt, look at the Columbia Orthopaedic website and read all the of the doctors’ backgrounds and each patient will find a surgeon that they can have a consultation with to effectively and efficiently diagnose the condition and discuss a plan of care and/or surgery when necessary.
