Arthroscopic Laboratory

The arthroscopy lab opened in 1998 thanks in part to the generous donations from several Orthopaedic companies.  William N. Levine, MD serves as the Director and Dr. Christopher Ahmad serves as Co-Director of the Arthroscopy Laboratory.  The Arthroscopy Lab offers state of the art instruments to perform any arthroscopic or open procedure.  Cadaveric specimens are available for clinical use as well as for research purposes.  Recent renovations have further enhanced the laboratory and there are now 4 state of the art well-based stations to allow surgeons to work simultaneously.

The lab is reserved exclusively for the use of the residents, fellows, and attending staff of the Department of Orthopaedics. By special request, the lab has been used to host regionally-based Orthopaedic surgeons and other fellows and residents in the New York area.  Live demonstrations can be telecast into the Carroll Conference Center, a multi-media room on the same floor, allowing more surgeons to participate.
